Chinese medicine discovered the system of energy meridians more than 3,000 years ago. Over the millennium it has been perfected and refined through clinical practice and experience. The meridian system is the basis upon which Chinese medicine and acupuncture has been developed.
The system of energy meridians creates the body’s energy field or bio-field. The balance and strength of the bio-field holds the key to maintaining your levels of health and vitality. In Chinese medicine, it is recognized that imbalances in the energy meridians or bio-field manifest first, sometimes years before a conventional diagnosis can be determined.
The basic premise of bio-field testing is that a previously balanced bio-field becomes weak or disturbed when a particular substance is introduced into the energy field of the subject. It results in an energetic imbalance or stress response in the meridian system related to that substance. This substance can be a tissue, environmental toxin, infectious agent, allergen, or food product.
In this type of testing, we use the bio-field as a biofeedback system to monitor energetic and physiologic changes in response to a variety of substances that may be an energetic stress to the body. Several of these substances represent various degrees of energetic disturbance and are grouped together to form scoring groups or scales of energetic stress.
